A hands-on approach to therapy.
The benefit of private-care therapy is working one-on-one with a skilled and experienced licensed PT and PTA. With experience in many settings, and a vast list of diagnoses and patient populations, we are able to provide a detailed and appropriate level of care based on your personal goals and abilities.
Cash-Based Services $140/hour + PT mobile service fee:
Therapeutic Manual Therapy and Massage Combination.
When you need a refresh, the combination manual therapy techniques and soft tissue work will maintain your balance. A skilled physical therapist can evaluate the cause of your pain, assess your muscles and joints, and provide a combination of manual techniques you cannot find anywhere else. This treatment is not limited to one part of your body as a PT Plan of Care or PT prescription typically is (will a therapist only treat your knee injury but not your back and shoulder).
Skilled techniques include:
Therapeutic Massage
Myofascial Release
Muscle Energy Techniques
Soft Tissue Mobilization
Joint Mobilization
Scraping
Cupping
Trigger Point Release
Manual Traction
Mechanical Lumbar Traction
Assisted Stretching
Full Body Massage.
Physical Therapists are experts in massaging every part of the body for pain relief. With a variety of techniques, a PT can include manual therapy as needed during a massage to release trigger points, joints, and fascia restrictions.
Dry Needling.
Dry Needling is a western medicine based model of acupuncture (defined as “needle” “penetration”). In contrast to a Traditional Chinese Medicine focus, Dry Needling for Physical Therapists include the use of monofilament needles to stimulate a physiologic change in the tissues to restart and enhance a healing stage. Focus aims at specific targeting of the connective tissue, fascia, ligaments, tendons, tendon-muscle junctions, and muscle trigger points. Electrical stimulation may also be used to maximize the benefits of needling. Dry Needling is a Cash-Based only service and may be purchased in a package.
Noelle Madraso, PT has her Certification in Dry Needling from the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy and is approved for treatment by the State of Nevada Board of Physical Therapy.
Personal Fitness Training.
With a background in both Exercise and Sports Science, Sports Medicine, and Physical Therapy, PT on the Go is able to create appropriate exercise plans to meet your goals. Attention is given to correct biomechanics and medical tolerance.
Stay fit and continue your current strength and endurance
Keep active but want accountability and skilled guidance.
Prepare for a physical activity, sport, or vacation.
If you have access to a pool, you can participate in water exercise. Often times, exercise in the water can be the best solution for pain management and arthritic joints.
Some fitness centers will allow a physical therapist to accompany a member for developing a personal training program.
Maintenance Programs.
Prevent decline, weakness, and balance problems.
Improve your balance.
You are not appropriate to commit to a skilled Physical Therapy Plan of Care, your physician does not agree on your need, or you have previously been denied coverage by insurance.
Let’s take a walk.
A primary goal for many of my patients is to get outside and have the ability to get around in public. We can meet at your home, at a park, or at the mall. The main benefit of weekly exercise through personal training with a skilled PT is safety and medical management of activity. Physical Therapists are experts at exercise for high risk populations, diseases, post-surgical, and pain management. Physical Therapists have graduate degrees that few personal trainers have.
Vacation Relief.
Are you on vacation or on an extended stay in Reno and Lake Tahoe? PT on the Go can come to you at a home or hotel room for pain management, injury assessment and treatment, and for continuation of your treatment plan while you are away from home.
